DopamineHit is a personal digital wellbeing and media curation tool. It provides a local, private way to index public links and curate your personal photos and videos. We do not host, re-upload, or claim ownership over any videos you bookmark. You retain full ownership of your personal media, and must respect content creators and copyright laws.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the DopamineHit: Save Your Vibe mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and QuitHaters ("we", "us", or "our").
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not install or use DopamineHit.
2. Limited License & Permitted Scope
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, QuitHaters grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use DopamineHit solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment and media curation on compatible mobile devices (including iOS and Android devices) that you own or control.
3. Third-Party Media & Personal Content
DopamineHit is an independent client utility designed to index public web links and organize personal device media:
- Personal Media Ownership: You retain 100% of your intellectual property and ownership rights in any personal photos, videos, or files you import into DopamineHit from your device. DopamineHit never claims any ownership, license, or right over your personal media.
- No Affiliation: DopamineHit is NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or in any way officially connected with Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, TikTok, ByteDance Ltd., Google LLC, YouTube, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.
- Third-Party Content Ownership: All third-party videos, audio tracks, visual assets, trademarks, and metadata displayed through the App's embedded player remain the exclusive property of their respective creators and copyright owners.
- No Hosting or Re-distribution: DopamineHit does NOT host, upload to remote servers, strip DRM from, or re-broadcast third-party video files. Saved web items stream directly from the hosting platform's public embed or official player.
4. Permitted Use & User Obligations
You agree that you will not:
- Use the App to infringe upon any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any party.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App (except to the extent permitted by applicable open-source components).
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any digital rights management (DRM) or access restrictions implemented by third-party content hosts.
- Use the App for commercial redistribution or public performance of copyrighted materials.
5. Media Availability & Creator Deletions
Because DopamineHit indexes public web references rather than maintaining a pirate copy of video streams:
- If an Instagram creator deletes, archives, or sets their reel to private, the embed within DopamineHit will no longer play.
- If Instagram modifies their embed API or restricts an account by age or geographic region, playback may require you to view the video directly within the official Instagram app via our deep link fallback button.
- QuitHaters cannot guarantee the permanent availability of any bookmarked third-party media item.
6. QuitHaters Intellectual Property
The DopamineHit brand name, logo, squircle design, custom liquid glass UI design tokens, anti-doomscroll architecture, software code, and documentation are the exclusive intellectual property of QuitHaters. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our proprietary software without our prior written consent.
7. App Stores & Platform Terms
You acknowledge and agree that these Terms are concluded between you and QuitHaters only, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Application store providers have no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. QUITHATERS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE OPERATION OF THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL QUITHATERS, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, LOSS OF BOOKMARKED DATA, OR MEDIA REMOVAL BY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts situated in Delaware.
